Florence's "Amerigo Vespucci" airport is located 7 km from the centre of the city. To arrive at Palazzo Alfani, take a taxi or the “vola in bus” shuttle bus service to get to Santa Maria Novella train station in about 20 minutes. From there, continue on foot (if you're not carrying heavy luggage); it's just a 10 minute walk, or take the no. 1 or 7 bus (get off at Piazza San Marco). Palazzo Alfani is just 100 meters ahead on the left, in Via Ricasoli 49 blue.
From Santa Maria Novella station, continue on foot (if you're not carrying heavy luggage); it's just a 10 minute walk, or take the no. 1 or 7 bus (get down at Piazza San Marco).

from the south:
Exit at “Firenze Sud” and follow the signs for Firenze centro.
Continue along the Lungarno del Tempio up to Piazza Beccaria, then proceed along the avenue up to Piazza della Libertà. Once in the square, enter the roundabout and take Via Cavour. In Piazza San Marco, continue straight on Via Cavour upto the traffic lights, then turn left onto Via degli Alfani and take the first street on your left (Via Ricasoli). Palazzo Alfani is at number 49, directly in front of the entrance to the Galleria dell’Accademia.
from the north:
Exit at “Firenze Nord” and follow the signs for Firenze centro to reach the Fortezza da Basso. Take Viale Spartaco Lavagnini to Piazza della Libertà.
Once in the square, take the second street on the right into Via Cavour. In Piazza San Marco, continue straight on Via Cavour upto the traffic lights, then turn left onto Via degli Alfani and take the first street on your left (Via Ricasoli). Palazzo Alfani is at number 49 blue, directly in front of the entrance to the Galleria dell’Accademia.
Warning! Palazzo Alfani is situated in a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL). Only residents are allowed to park in the ZTL. We offer our clients the possibility of park their car at the Michelangelo garage in Via Ricasoli 28, at a special daily rate which includes an entry ticket to the ZTL and valet service. Please notify us that you require parking facilities when booking or before your arrival in order to avoid parking fines.
